FUELS THE FUTURE: The Appropriate Use of Participatory Farmers Research Approach For Sustainable Use of Water Resources and Managements in The Wami River Basin
This paper deals with the use of integrated participatory farmers research in balance and development use of water resources in the Wami river basin, Tanzania: Connecting to integrity of land and sustainable use of water resources management for increasing agricultural productivity, and sustainable water supply. The participatory farmers research (FPR) explains how stakeholders’ relationships are mediated by various influences like values, interests, cultures and disciplinary perspectives and personal relationships. However, the use of water resource in Tanzaniais regulated by statutory legal systems, where very few individuals and communal actions are served by customary-based lifestyles.
