Nestle Pure Life Bottled Water Recall
Nestle Waters North America has issued a recall notice on select 1-gallon containers of its Pure Life Purified Drinking Water because the water in those bottles may contain a diluted form of a food-grade cleaning compound. The affected gallons were sold in the Northeast, at Shop-Rite stores in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Affected bottles have a product code that begins with "050508126WF024." Shop-Rite removed any remaining bottles from its shelves and warehouses.
And while no illnesses have been reported, it might be a good idea to share this information with friends and family who live in this part of the country. Officials at Nestle say the compound results in a bitter or sour taste to the water. The company did not explain how it might have entered the water.
