A mother died after guzzling four litres of water in just two hours while on a controversial diet plan.

Jacqueline Henson, 40, collapsed when she was on the LighterLife programme which limits dieters to just 500 calories a day. It also encourages them to drink plenty of water but she took it too far.

Tests showed the mum-of-five was killed by swelling on the brain.
